General Health
Do you consider your self a healthy person ? what factors make some one healthy ? and if your a smoker and like to drink dose that mean its impossible to be "Healthy” ?
All these questions seem to be very relevant in the 21st century
my opinion
I don't currently consider myself a healthy person , but this is something im actively attempting to change as mentioned earlier in the article my teeth are something im going to address and once i can get a handle on my drinking and smoking habits i see no reason why my general health should not improve
as far as factors that make a person healthy , it's a bit harder to put your finger on exactly what constitutes healthiness i have met men that have drank and smoked heavily for over 30 years yet seem both happy and extremely healthy people . the most important thing that will dectate if you are a healthy or unhealthy person is your diet your body collects all the vitamins and minrals it needs to function from the food you consume , this is simply impossible to do if you only eat fastfood
vegetables are essential for good health To get a healthy variety, think colour. Eating fruits and vegetables of different colours gives your body a wide range of valuable nutrients, like fiber, folate, potassium, and vitamins A and C. Some examples include green spinach, orange sweet potatoes, black beans, yellow corn, purple plums, red watermelon, and white onions. For more variety, try new fruits and vegetables regularly
also your mental health can directly effect your physical well being , people with a happy stress free mental attitude tend to be much healthier physically as well and having a abilaty to get further in life then others with a more pessimistic approach
Smoking and Drinking – These are the 2 biggest avoidable costs to the nation health service in this country and also one of the highest profiting taxable items for our government some what of a catch22# i am sad to say i indulge in both these activity's far too often , my honest opinion is that if you smoke and drink modestly (around once a week) in a social environment then there should be no long term detrimental effect to your health but its all to easy to go from a social drink once a week to over 4 beers a night (witch is a dangerous amount of alcohol to consume regularly) to avoid this i find filling my spare time with activity's such as hobby's is a great idea keeping you occupied and hopefully keeping the cravings at bay
The fact of the matter is that there is no way to guarantee good health and a lot of it is still luck of the draw people can eat fruit and veg , never smoke and not touch a drop of alcohol their whole life yet still become victim to serious health conditions
